Custom hand made limited edition CD-Record (Hybrid Digital/Analog CD-R) with one exclusive track: 'distant life objects in the haze' 45 RPM will play on a turntable and in your CD player for the AVIARY EP tracks. A 'low fi' mono Gakken EZ Record Maker was used to lathe-cut the outer rim analog track. Sleeve is hand cut textured colored paper with inkjet printed CD-R. The CD-R disk rotates inside sleeve much like an old Viewmaster displaying the sound waveform for each track. Cool, clever and fun !

This short album (or EP) consists of sculpted soundscapes, phased rhythms and ambient sounds entirely derived from bird song and calls via iPad SAMPLR app and other iOS apps for sequencing, effects, editing and mixing. 'Jitterocus' was created using NI Reaktor with a granular sample mangler ensemble. I tried to maintain the distinctive timbre and rhythm of each bird and not overly process the distinctive birdsong nature using granular sampling techniques. The sounds and calls of birds are the essential part of spring for renewal of life,
